Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation at Harmon Dental Center in Louisville, KY. Our dental team will assess your jawbone structure and overall oral health to determine if zygomatic implants are right for you.
We will take digital scans and photos and perform a comprehensive exam to understand your current dental concerns. We will also discuss any questions and explain the process in detail.
Once your choice of sedation has been administered, we will make small incisions in your gums to access the underlying bone. We will then place 4-6 zygomatic implants into the cheekbones. This approach allows us to avoid bone grafting while ensuring a stable, reliable foundation for your new teeth. Once your implants are placed, we will attach an abutment connector on top and place your temporary teeth set.

Dr. Harmon graduated from Cumberland College in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and went on to teach junior high and high school before joining the United States Army Reserves. In the Reserves, Dr. Harmon received training as a dental assistant and worked closely with dentists in a Medical Support Unit in Louisville. He was so impressed with the advances being made in dental technology that he decided to pursue a career as a dentist. In 2005, Dr. Harmon graduated with his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) with Honors from The Ohio State University after serving on active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Harmon is passionate about giving his patients healthy, beautiful smiles for a lifetime. His goal is to treat all of his patients as he would his own family with the utmost respect and highest level of customer service. In addition, Dr. Harmon regularly attends continuing education courses in order to ensure he is able to offer his patients the latest dentistry has to offer. Dr. Harmon is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Louisville Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the East End Study Club.
